The Graduate Certificate Program in Health Innovation & Implementation Science is focused on providing busy professionals with the skill sets needed to become change leaders within the healthcare system. Agile Implementation will give you the skills to lead change within any healthcare organization. You will be equipped with the following skills to achieve health care transformation: identifying, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based practices, as well as, developing innovative models of care when evidence-based practices do not exist.
We define Innovation as the conversion of a new idea into a successful health care solution that provides high value for patients, and Implementation Science as the development of tools, processes, and strategies for rapid, efficient, and sustainable adoption of evidence-based practices in the real-world.
Through our program you will gain the leadership skills needed to move your health system, clinic or practice to a value-based, patient-centric environment at the same or lower cost.

Innovation and Implementation Science I
Study the transfer of evidence-based knowledge into routine practice with a focus on physician practices, continuum of care, and community settings. Innovation and implementation strategies and models will be examined with a focus on outcome measures, fidelity, changing reimbursement and new accountable care and shared savings delivery models.
Health Outcomes and Evaluation in Implementation Science
Explore stakeholder outcomes and program evaluation methods related to implementation projects and trials, and ongoing program evaluation. The focus is on addressing practitioners’ need for informed decision-making. Topics covered include comparative effectiveness research, patient-centered outcomes, quality improvement cycles, and rapid learning health care systems.
Leading Change, Teams and Projects
This course provides foundational knowledge and practical skills for leading and implementing a new health care invention in diverse types of health care settings. The course emphasizes complex adaptive systems, change strategies, leadership, teaming, and project management with a focus on the unique aspects of innovation and implementation science.
